Court Play Outdoors
During good weather (typically above 50 degrees), our six outside courts are available at 308 South Vine Street in Glenwood, Iowa. PLEASE carry your court shoes to the picnic table and change into them there to avoid tracking mud and rocks onto the courts.
In order to accommodate as many players as possible, we strongly encourage the use of a website application called PlayTime Scheduler (PTS). Please see the section below that describes PTS and how to use it. Anyone with an account on PTS may create a session or add themselves to a session. Please note that our outdoor courts are on a “first-come, first-served” basis. A session on PTS does not guarantee you an outdoor court; however, the session does communicate to other players that people are wanting to play at that time frame.
There are several regularly scheduled sessions on PTS. This includes a “Fun Play” session and a “Competitive Play” session (3.0 rating and above).
If you have a family or friend group that plans to play outside of the already scheduled sessions, please add your own session to PTS. This will help us track the number of players using the outside courts. This information is helpful for future request of funding as we show growth in numbers of players over time.
Court Play Indoors/YMCA
During winter weather, our club utilizes one to three courts inside the YMCA, located at 110 Sivers Road in Glenwood, Iowa. These courts are in the main gym and utilize portable pickleball nets. We utilize PlayTime Scheduler (PTS) for session signups. Please see the section below that describes PTS and how to use it. However, please do not create a session on PTS for the YMCA courts as we are limited to negotiated times during specific days of the week. YMCA members can play for free OR non-members may pay $5 per session OR non-members may purchase a 10-session punch card for $30.
Please see PlayTime Scheduler for available sessions.
Court Rules
The rules for using the pickleball courts are as follows:
Courts are for pickleball use only. No bikes, skates, skateboards or other wheeled devices.
No street shoes on courts. Please bring clean court shoes (light-colored soles only) and change into them before entering courts. Mud and grit damage the court surface.
